Background

This is a wabi-sabi-style duplex. The owners are a family of three. The overall wall and floor surface are made of micro-cement, which gives the wall and floor a unified feeling.

Philosophizing

Wabi-sabi:  simplify the complexity and find beauty in imperfection. This case is dominated by beige and white, with accents of original wood color.

Dead wood, fallen leaves, and sandstone, which are elements from the natural ecology, present a relatively rustic and understated use of color in the home to reflect a sense of silence in wabi-sabi.

Floating Stairs

The most eye-catching part may be the staircase. The staircase of the project adopts a unique arc design, making the staircase also become a landscape.

Open Fireplace

The extension of the staircase naturally became the desktop of the television background wall

Chill & Warm

The kitchen uses an open-plan counter design to make the whole space brighter.

Second Floor

What's worth mentioning is that the entire second floor is used as a master bedroom

The atmosphere of the second floor bedroom, the dressing room, and the bathroom are all for the master's service. It can be said to be a very comfortable design.

Whenever footsteps sound
lights brighten
familiar voices awaken sleeping memories

And
Home becomes clear again

Homes take on different appearances and personalities depending on the people who live in them

Almost like a mirror that reflects the spiritual appearance and life state of each of us.

Wabi-sabi is not just a style, but more importantly

A state of life that is independent, indifferent, quiet, and free.
